I purchased this Lotus Exige S in 2011 with about 7500 miles on it. I purchased the car through a reputable exotics and "high line" dealer whom I have done business with in the past. He had purchased the car from an individual seller in NEW YORK state. He called me and I saw this Exige S just a day or so after it was delivered to his lot. I bought it on the spot. After purchasing the Exige S, I had it thoroughly inspected by a Lotus Factory Tech at Chriswell Lotus in Gaithersburg MD. I also had all of the fluids changed including brake and transmission. The car has been garage kept and driven only in good weather. It stays in my garage under a cover with a battery tender. I run the car at least once a month even if I don't take it out for a drive. I have had it professionally detailed several times and I change the oil and filter every 1000 - 1500 miles. I have driven this car on the street only! NO TRACK TIME! The car is tight and clean and drives beautifully. The paint on the car is 98%, It has 3M clear protective film across the entire lower front of the car. No dents or chips. There is some very minor paint ware on the lower rear fenders just in front of and directly behind the rear tires. This is only noticeable as slight discoloration in the paint upon very close inspection. The ware is due to normal road dirt and debris. The only other minor flaw is that the driver side window rattles slightly when it is rolled all the way down. The rattle resolves itself when the window is raised just a fraction of an inch. Its not bothersome enough to repair in my opinion. There are a few minor aesthetic and weight saving performance modifications to the car. The full size battery has been replaced with a small light weight racing battery and the OEM battery box has been replaced with a Sector 111 aluminium battery bracket. The OEM airbox was replaced with a lightweight carbon fiber intake and low restriction air filter. The replacement airbox is designed to take in cold air from directly behind the side scoop. Its a very simple and clean looking mod. That's it for performance mods.... The exterior mods are a carbon fiber lower front spoiler, and matching carbon fiber side scoops. The grills have been removed from the side scoops for better air flow. An alloy fuel tank door has been installed. A red alloy recovery loop has been fitted through the grill on the front of the car and red 4-point racing harnesses have been fitted to both driver and passenger seats. The shoulder straps are properly mounted to an alloy cross bar behind the seats. These belts can be tucked neatly out of site if you like, and the OEM belts used. OEM belts are still in place and operational with the harnesses in. It was my intention to take the car to the track, but I never found time to drive the car much, let alone, run it at the track. The racing stripes are matte black 3M Vinyl to match the wheels and trim. Tires are TOYO Proxes R888 semi slick and have about 4000 miles one them. They are still sticky and in good condition. I have the original battery box, front spoiler and side scoops for the car as well as a custom fit heavy weight indoor storage cover that will come with the car as well as the owners manuals, service records and Cax Report from when I purchased the car.
